Change Your Box, Change Your Reality

Over the years, I’ve developed a series of teachings and meditations called “Changing Boxes.”
The practice is based on the idea of leaving an “old box” – where a problem exists in the 3D realm we call “space-time” – and tuning in to a new potential reality of the 5D realm we call “time-space.”
Thus, we enter a “new box” – one where the challenge no longer exists.

People sometimes get stuck on the idea of what we literally mean by “box” – or think this has to become about visualization. But it can be looser and more playful than that.

In very simple terms, think of this practice as a way of overcoming the known to make way for the unknown. The “old box” is your current personal reality; the same old way of thinking, feeling, and behaving ... your same way of seeing the same problems, which inevitably limits you to the same outcomes.

And the “new box” can be ... anything you haven’t thought of before.
A new way of seeing; of thinking; of feeling; of behaving. A new way of being. A reality where there is no problem.

So, when you “change boxes,” you leave the same old personality self behind. You overcome the known in 3D reality and tune in to new, 5D reality where unlimited new potentials exist. You become aware of the possibility of a new box.
From there, it becomes possible to create a new personal reality.

If the concept is new to you, it may seem challenging at first.
But once you get it, I assure you it’s an easy way to shift your consciousness, move out of the “old box” of the present reality you are stuck in, tune in to a new dimension of opportunities in your life, and, ultimately, emerge in a “new box” – a new reality.

First, let’s explore the fundamentals that underpin this practice.

Fueling Problems With Attention and Energy

Let’s begin with the idea that the problems or conditions in our lives are created from our level of consciousness – or, as is more often the case, unconsciousness. So, if you’re faced with an adversity or challenge you can’t seem to get beyond, it’s because you’re most likely bringing the same level of mind to the issue that created it in the first place.

Let’s say that every day, you’re thinking about a problem in the same exact way.
That’s because your brain is a memory bank of everything you know and have experienced.
So, based on your past experience, you have a neurological network in your brain associated with every person, object, thing, or place at a certain time in your life.

In a sense, when you think about those familiar problems or challenges, you are thinking in the past. Said another way, you are viewing your current reality through the lens of a past, known consciousness.

For every one of those thoughts (or memories) associated with the problem or person, there is an associated emotion.
Emotions are the chemical end-products of past experiences.
In other words, your emotional reactions to any problem in your life cause your body to live in the past – and thus, to think equal to that emotion. In a sense, your consciousness is equal to the consciousness – or unconsciousness – that created it.

If how you think and how you feel creates your state of being, then your reaction to the conditions and problems in your life only serves to reaffirm the same body, mind, thoughts, feelings, actions, and reactions related to the problem. Thus, the stronger the emotional reaction you have to the problem or condition, the more you pay attention to it.

In this work, we learn that where you place your attention is where you place your energy.
And so, by giving a problem your attention, you’re keeping it alive in your life by giving your energy to it.

As a result, you’re giving your very life force away to that problem.
That’s energy you could be using to create a different reality.
That means there’s a good possibility you might be the reason why the problem hasn’t changed – because you haven’t changed your energy.

And, since nothing changes in your life until you change your energy, theoretically, that’s why your situation is staying the same.

So, then, once you understand this, the questions become:
  1. How can you become unencumbered by the energy of your problems?
  2. How can you change your energy and move to a greater level of consciousness; one where the challenge no longer exists?

This is where we get deeper into the practice behind the “Changing Boxes” meditations.

There are two fundamental tenets of this work:

  1. Where you place your attention is where you place your energy.
  2. Nothing changes in your life ... until you change your energy.

Which led to some fundamental questions:

  • How can you become unencumbered by the energy of your problems or challenges?
  • How can you change your energy and move to a greater level of consciousness; one where the challenge or problem no longer exists?

Now, let’s explore what it means to ascend our energy – and work with it in the quantum field.

The Strength of Your Signal

Think of emotions as “energy in motion.”
And if every day your negative emotions are creating the same energy to react to the same problem, then that energy produces a specific signal in the quantum field.

Now, if that signal comes from an incoherent brain and heart, you’re producing an energetic frequency carrying thoughts that no longer have coherence, or syntropy.
Instead, they have entropy – which means they have less power over your three-dimensional reality.
It’s simply a weaker signal.

It makes sense, then, that a weak signal would exert weaker effects on outcomes in your life – especially when it comes to the energy needed to change a persistent, challenging situation.

As we talked about, you can’t solve a problem from the same level of consciousness (or unconsciousness) that created it.
This means you have to reach a greater level of consciousness than the one that’s actually reinforcing the issue at hand.

This is where we begin to fully explore how to move to a greater level of mind – where the problem or challenge no longer exists.

Thoughts as Patterns

When you’re triggered by a problem or situation, you’ve most likely experienced it many times before – meaning it has an associated neurological network in your brain.
This means you have emotions associated with the problem, as well.

These well-established connections create a vicious cycle whereby your reaction to the situation – real or imagined – is actually feeding the problem with the same energy.
And if you keep feeding the same problem with the same energy, you get the same reality.

Now, if thoughts are the electrical charge that you send out into the field ... and feelings are the magnetic charge that draws reality to you ... and how you think and how you feel is broadcasting an electromagnetic signature on a moment-to-moment basis ... then your memories of the past and your reaction to your outer environment are keeping everything the same.

In other words, how you think and how you feel creates your reality.
And if you keep thinking and feeling the same way, then your life will remain the same.

Asking Questions That Can Lead to Answers

If you’re stuck in this pattern, ask yourself:
Does how you think about the challenge or problem strengthen or weaken you?

If you’re having an angry reaction to your ex-partner or your boss, those thoughts and feelings are weakening the body – and, consequently, weakening your field. And if the hormones of stress are activating your survival systems, the result will be incoherence in your brain and heart.

This kind of dissonance becomes part of the thought forms that create a specific kind of energy – an incoherent energy.
Think of the signal from incoherent energy like static on a radio station.
When you’re not tuned to the right frequency, you don’t get a clear signal.

In other words, since every thought produces a frequency, your incoherent thoughts are creating poorly formed patterns in the field.

And the more those incomplete patterns become incomplete creations, the more they reinforce the problems you want to resolve.
Why? Because the pattern is not whole.

As those troubling thoughts produce more stress hormones, and you reinforce this pattern over and over, sickness or disease occurs – because you are signaling the same patterns and gene expression by thought alone.

Your thoughts are literally making you sick.

Now, ask yourself:
Is anyone or anything worth it?

Becoming Aware of Possibilities

Let’s return to the premise I briefly described – the concept behind “Changing Boxes.”

I want you to think of yourself, confronting the same old problems with the same old thoughts and the same old feelings – giving your attention and energy to those the challenges in your life in the same old way – as someone who is trapped in a box.

To an observer watching you from outside that box, wouldn’t it seem obvious you’re not being very loving to yourself – especially if you keep doing this for an extended period of time?

Now, consider this.
If you understand that all possibilities exist in the quantum field, then there already is a door you haven’t thought of or known about ... a way out of the current situation you are in.

There already is a way out of that same old box.

However, you can’t see your way out of that challenge if you’re looking at it from the same level of mind – the emotions, thoughts, and feelings of the past. In order to see a way out, you would have to take all your attention, energy, emotions, and thoughts – your consciousness – off the obstacle that exists in your 3D reality – and turn it toward possibility.

That’s what we mean when we say you can’t solve the problem from the same level of consciousness that created it.
You have to evolve to a greater level of mind to find your way in to that new box.

Moving to a Greater Level of Consciousness

As we discussed, when you react to problems or challenges in your life, your thoughts and feelings produce patterns in the quantum field. That’s because thoughts create electrical charges and feelings produce magnetic charges – the totality of which is the energy you broadcast into the field, moment by moment.

Whatever you broadcast into the field is your experiment with destiny.

And so, when you react to those challenges in the same way, your energy stays the same – meaning your life stays the same. Because, at the same time you’re broadcasting that energy, you’re producing corresponding patterns in your brain that release the same chemicals in your body – which affects your biology and gene expression in the same way.
And if your response is creating the emotions of stress, this string of events will influence your health – and, ultimately, your life.

Before we move on, let’s go back to that problem in your life that won’t go away.
The problem keeping you stuck in that “old box.”

Every time you can become conscious of the unconscious thoughts associated with that problem (for example: I quit. I can’t do it. I’m not good enough. This situation is never going to change), you lower the volume of the self-limiting voice in your head – the voice that repeats those same limited thoughts hundreds of times a day.
That voice represents what you unconsciously believe to be true.

It’s important to notice these blind spots – because the more you become conscious and aware of these thoughts; the more familiar you are with them; the more you’re able to break the programs that enslave you to the same conditions in your life.

That’s because the more you become conscious of those programs, the less prone you will be to go unconscious in your daily life.

In other words, every time you become aware of the thoughts that are sponsored by feelings of resentment, suffering, shame, anxiety, control, pain, anger, or frustration, you are climbing a ladder.

You are moving to a greater level of consciousness.

As you move through those dense layers of emotion, you begin to raise your own personal energy.
And – because you can’t have energy without awareness or consciousness – when you raise your energy, you raise your awareness.
You’re moving to a greater level of mind than that which created the problem in the first place.

And as you move to that greater level of mind, you begin to become aware of new possibilities.
You begin to become aware of a “new box.”

Merging With the Field

When you practice any meditation, it’s vitally important you first get to the point where you disassociate from everything known to you – everything you perceive and experience with the senses.

Done properly, you divest all your attention and energy out of this 3D realm of separation – “space-time” – where everything is local, defined by your senses, and material in space and time.
If where you place your attention is where you place your energy, then the moment you take all your attention off everything known and material in your 3D reality, you’re opening the door to the unknown – the quantum field.

You become no body, no one, no thing, no where, in no time.

And now, you are pure consciousness in the eternal now – the generous present moment.
We call this process getting beyond the known self.

As you learn how to “dial down” your neocortex – your “thinking brain” – to create very coherent, low-level, alpha and theta brain waves, you can open your awareness to energy and the unified field.

Now, you’re in a space where there is nothing physical, material, or known.
You’re in the unknown – and your awareness can begin to connect to energy or frequency instead of matter. You can cause your biology to become really coherent – because much like your computer connects to WiFi, you’re connecting to a signal. You’re connecting to the field – because that’s where your attention is.

Now, you’ve overcome your body, your environment, and time.
You’ve moved from space-time ... to time-space.

The Realm of All Possibilities:
Time-Space

In time-space, there is nothing material or physical.
There’s no structure; no form; nothing tangible.
Everything exists as unmanifest potential.
In other words, as nothing. The realm of time-space – or what we call “5D” – is rich in frequency, energy, and vibration. That invisible energy connects and gives life to everything physical and material in 3D space-time.

In time-space, there are infinite possibilities.
There is an infinite amount of time, which means there are infinite potentials for you to experience. When you connect to the frequency of time-space with a coherent nervous system – when you touch it with your awareness – you tune into a greater level of consciousness, information, and order.

Now, you’re no longer separate from the field.
And in this moment of connection – in the realm of pure consciousness – you become pure consciousness.

Bringing It All Together

First, you learned that “Changing Boxes” is based on the idea of leaving an “old box” – where a problem exists in 3D reality – and tuning in to a new potential reality in 5D.
Thus, you enter a “new box” – one where the challenge no longer exists.

Then, you learned that you can’t solve a problem from the same level of consciousness (or unconsciousness) that created it.

Combining these ideas, you can see that if you can’t get beyond the consciousness, the energy, the emotion, the thoughts, or the memories of the challenge you face, it will never change – because you’re not changing.

So, in order to find the solution to the challenge you face in 3D reality, you have to get beyond the consciousness that created the problem in the first place.
In other words, you have to get beyond yourself.

Once you’ve overcome the personality equal to that aspect of your current personal reality and have truly merged with the unified field – as we explored in today’s post – you’re in the realm of all possibilities.

Here, you can tune in to another reality where the problem or challenge doesn’t exist.

Now, this is where we bridge the theoretical and the practical – and walk through the practice of Changing Boxes, step by step:

Evolving as Eternal Souls

Knowledge is the great parent to experience.
In other words, the more you obtain new information, the more prepared you are for new experiences.

We’re all faced with great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.
These are the challenges and problems in our lives, which feel like obstacles – but are actually here to help us evolve as eternal souls on the journey home.

Because, in reality, none of us changes unless we’re challenged.

As we’ve explored, the issues and problems you have in your life (in this 3D world of space-time) have been created from a certain level of consciousness – or unconsciousness.
So, to resolve those problems, you have to move to a greater level of consciousness than that which created them.

You have to evolve to a greater level of mind.

Now, as you’ve learned, in the realm called time-space, there is nothing material or physical. There’s no structure; no form; nothing tangible. Everything exists as unmanifest potential.
In other words, as nothing.

That vacuum; that void; that emptiness; that nothing ... that reality that exists beyond your senses ... is rich in frequency, energy, and vibration. And that invisible energy connects and gives life to everything physical and material in 3D space-time.

And in that 5D reality ... in that realm ... there are infinite possibilities.

Observing Reality Into Form

The quantum reality is one where multiple universes and dimensions exist simultaneously.
It’s the realm of infinite thoughts, unlimited information, and a supreme consciousness that is the epiphenomenon of matter in 3D.

In that realm, every thought has a frequency.

This suggests there is a reality where any problem or challenging condition in your life doesn’t exist – and that you could bring it to life simply by becoming aware of it. And the thought of that possibility existing in that potential reality should produce the frequency or the feeling of freedom ... of relief ... of gratitude ... of joy.

It’s the frequency of that thought that connects you to that possibility.
Since there’s no separation in the quantum field, the thought – and the experience of that thought – are one.

In 3D reality, the thought of that problem or challenge produces familiar, known, stressful feelings.
So, when you change your consciousness from the “old box” of thinking,
  • "There is no solution to my problems" ... or,
  • "My life will never change" ... or,
  • "The challenge in my life connected to certain people and things will never be different"
... to a new consciousness; a “new box” of thinking ... you become aware of a solution or possibility you had never thought of before.

Just by becoming aware of it, you could bring that reality into your life.

In a sense, you could observe that reality into form by changing your consciousness – and therefore, your energy – around that condition.

Following Your Mind to a New Destiny

Once you get beyond your body, your environment, and time ... and become pure consciousness ... you can become aware of a new possibility.
And in this realm of time-space, consciousness and energy are one.

Thus, change your consciousness; change your energy.
Change your energy; change your life.

When you practice “Changing Boxes,” you’ll become aware of the possibility in the quantum field where a problem or challenge no longer exists. And in that empty space, where there’s nothing physical or material, you’ll find it ... feel it ... experience it ... become aware of it ... and stay connected to it.

You could bring it to life – you could bring it into your life – by becoming aware of it.

Since where you place your attention is where you place your energy,
you are placing your energy in a new reality.
Keep doing it, and your body will follow your mind to that destiny.

Then, once you lock into that frequency; that energy – as a consciousness unaware of 3D reality in that invisible field – you can draw your physical body to you with your heart.

Picturing Infinite Possibilities

Think of it like being in a room in one dimension ... a changing room, let’s say, with mirrors on opposite walls. And picture yourself standing in between those mirrors, seeing an infinite number of your existing in different realities ... in different boxes ... in different rooms … in different dimensions.

In those unlimited, infinite mirror images exist an unlimited, infinite number of possible realities and possible selves.

This is what it’s like to enter the realm of time-space.
The 5D reality.

Your thought produces an electrical charge in the quantum field.
And so, once you think about a new possibility, you’re connecting to new information in the field.

Your feeling, then, is the magnetic charge.

So, with that thought – your clear intention – you send the signal out.
And with that feeling – your elevated emotion – you use your heart’s magnetic field to draw that reality to you in space-time.

When you place your attention and energy in a reality where that problem doesn’t exist,
your body should follow your mind right to that new future.
That new box.

Feel Your Connection to It ...
With Your Heart

Now, the only way you can get out of the present reality where the problem exists is through your heart.

That’s because your heart center possesses a different consciousness than that of anger, fear, suffering, pain, resentment, and lack. When you remain in that old level of consciousness, it keeps the problems in your life the same – because your energy is the same.

The door out of that self-limiting reality lives in your heart.

So, when you’re in the void as pure consciousness, you’ll feel your connection to your body – and start drawing your body to you with your heart.

You’ll practice moving from one reality into another seamlessly – so that, when you open your eyes, something has changed. And a new opportunity or synchronicity begins to appear in your 3-D reality of space-time.

Signs and Synchronicities

Done properly, when you come back to this 3D reality and some small thing – some new change – appears in your life, it’s evidence you’ve moved to a new reality.

It might not be the final outcome, but it’s a sign of your move to a new box.
Keep doing it, and you can actually arrive in a new 3D reality where the challenge or problem no longer exists.

If there are infinite possibilities ...
if there are infinite realities ...
then by becoming aware of those possibilities and realities ...
and by changing the energy that was keeping your current reality the same ...
you should begin to produce measurable changes in your life.

Befriend the Unknown...Surrender to the Mystery

Returning Back to Source and Oneness

Dr Joe, at a recent retreat, I had a profound experience during one of the Walking Meditations. Life showed me what it really was; unlimited beauty readily available to everyone and everything at all times – because we are it, and it is us.

It completely shifted the way I saw reality. I felt like I didn’t need to do anything to get to my future – because it was already done. It already existed in my life trajectory.

This was the best feeling I ever felt – and I never wanted to feel anything else in my life. It stayed with me for two days, and then slowly faded away. I tried in different ways to get it back – and I did feel it again during another Walking Meditation – but it quickly vanished again.

My question is, can we feel this way all the time? Or even most of the time? How do we achieve this? Is it just practice and growth? I’d be so very grateful for your response.

– Chiara

Seeing Beyond the Veil

The first point I want to make is that everyone goes through this at some point in their evolution – including me. The moment Chiara had in her Walking Meditation was what we call “seeing beyond the veil.”

When we connect to this frequency; this invisible field of energy that is closer to oneness and wholeness; we become aware of far more information than we perceive with our mere senses. Our consciousness – our awareness of the so-called reality around us – is forever changed.

When we see beyond the veil, the gap between the way things really are and the way we are is lessened.

In these moments, we’re more conscious – and we feel more connected to harmony and wholeness. That’s because, in that realm beyond space and time, everything is connected. And with that feeling of connection comes a sense of knowingness that eludes words. It’s just hard to describe – because in doing so, we risk diluting the power of the experience itself.

Somehow, we’re ... aligned in a certain way. We bond to a reality we weren’t aware of or connected to before. But once we’ve had an experience of it; once it’s in our awareness; we have this deeper knowing – and we can’t unknow it.

It’s an awakening. Somehow, something we’d had no awareness of previously is now part of us – and part of our destiny.

‘Remember This Feeling’

As I told the woman who asked the question, I want everybody to have this experience. I want everybody to see beyond the veil – because it’s not only enthralling; it’s literally life-changing.

When I have one of those transcendental moments, I say to myself,

“You’ve got to remember this feeling. You have to. This is who you really are. This ... is what it’s really about.”

Suddenly, I’m in a place of pure love – and I am this feeling. And in that place of exuberant, pure love, the unknown is no longer something to fear. And I realize: there’s so much more to life than I was ever aware of.

And, just like Chiara – the woman who asked the question above – the first couple of times I had that experience, I was eager to get back to that place. Having had a taste of that intoxicating connection to the divine within me and all around me, I wanted to experience it every day.

This became a long journey for me – as it does for most people in this work who’ve had an encounter with the mystical. Ultimately, I had to accept a fundamental truth about working in the quantum – and that is that replication and predictability are impossible. Because, if we can predict the outcome, then we’re working in the known. And that’s counter to the very nature of having a mystical experience. The mystical is the unknown.

Longing and Separation

When I heard Chiara’s question, I started to chuckle – because I saw myself in her. I know this situation well. How many times have I tried to predict when the next mystical experience would happen? How many times have I gotten in my own way, thinking I should – or could – control my experience of the unknown?

How often have I spent my days in separation from that moment of connection, waiting for it to happen – so it would take away my lack of not having it? Or analyzing what I could possibly be doing wrong? Or wondering if there was something wrong with me? I’ve come up against these challenges for years.

I’m sharing my experience because I know many of you are facing the same challenges. You’ve had a moment, and you want to get back to that transcendent place. You’re not alone in this desire. We’ve all been there.

We marvel at the fact that we had the experience. We relish the memory of what it felt like to connect to the divine source within. We remember that we felt an extraordinary sense of wholeness – and that we promised ourselves we’d never forget it. And we regret that, despite those intentions, the feeling began to wane within days.

And so, we start trying.

When we sit down to meditate – or stand, or lie down, or walk – all we can think about is how good it felt when we had that experience. We imagine what it would be like to return to it. We want to feel that feeling again.

And without realizing it, our practice becomes about returning to the place we were before – instead of entering the unknown.

But what we’re actually doing, in those moments of longing – of trying to replicate the experience without the feeling – is reinforcing our separation from it. We’re grasping at something; chasing after it. And that continuously amplifies the feeling of lack – of not having it.

As I implored Chiara in our Dr Joe Live conversation, please don’t try to force, control, or predict the outcome of your next experience. Because if you’re looking for it, you’re separate from it. And you can’t attract anything in your life you feel separate from.

Surrendering Outcomes – and Timing

Without question, the tools and methods Chiara is working with – particularly Walking Meditations, where we practice with our eyes open – are great portals to mystical experiences.

But it’s important to remember that to truly experience the mystical, we have to let go of any attachment to an outcome – including how or when it’s going to happen.

Because – as I mentioned  – predictability and repeatability are impossible in the quantum, it may seem like we sometimes arrive at a similar place, but we can’t arrive at a new outcome if we’re expecting it to happen the same way.
If we’re trying to control the result, we’re actually limiting our creation.

That rule about predictability applies to timing as well as the experience itself.

Not only do we think we can control how we come into contact with the mystical or the unknown; we somehow think we can control when it happens.

That expectation is the exact thing that limits the likelihood of the moment occurring at all – because, if you can predict anything, that would mean it’s already known to you.
In other words, it’s the opposite of the unknown.

Ironically, then, the only way to have the experience we seek is to stop seeking it altogether.
And here, we have the delicate balance of intention and surrender.

So, looking for it, or unconsciously expecting it to happen in a certain way, at a certain time – during meditation, for example – is a huge limitation. It could happen when you lie down at the end of your practice. It could happen when you fall asleep on the couch at the end of a long day. It could happen while you’re staring into a fire, looking out a window, or standing at the sink washing dishes.

If you’re truly open; that mystical moment can find you at any time.
In fact, our brain-imaging (fMRI) research shows that when we don’t expect anything to happen, that’s when the unexpected happens. It’s a paradox – but finding that balance is the work.

Learning to Be Satisfied With Your Effort

When we have these mystical, profoundly moving experiences, it’s very real to us; more real than what our senses alone can perceive. Such an encounter changes our understanding of the world, and it can never be the same for us.

It makes sense that in touching that greater frequency; that more unified, organized energy – which is love, by the way – we’d want to grow our awareness and experience of it in our waking lives.

It’s important to keep expanding your model and investing yourself in a deeper understanding of the principles at work. To keep learning. To practice living with the apparent tension between the mundane and the mystical.

It’s equally important to just – stay loose. Stay curious. Stay open and playful. And let it happen.

Make it be about your effort, not the result. Make it be about becoming so lost in the act, the act itself creates the experience ... about being so satisfied with your effort, you no longer care when or how the mystical encounter happens – because you already feel like the mystic.

And then, when you finish your meditations, take a moment and put your hands over your heart. Invite that experience back into your life at a time you would never expect it. And, as you reflect on your sincere effort, allow yourself to feel worthy to receive it – whenever it comes.

Biophotons: The Light in Our Cells

There are trillions of cells that make up your body.
For the moment I want you to think about just one.
That one cell is incredibly busy. In just the last second there were over 100,000 chemical reactions that occurred in this cell.

Now, step back and consider your body as a whole.
The sheer volume of activity happening inside you at any given moment is almost incomprehensible. With so much information being processed all at once, it’s fair to ask how it all works.

The consensus in the scientific community used to focus on a mechanistic approach to explain the inner workings of your body. In this model, molecular reactions were assumed to follow a very linear formula. Essentially event A produces event B which produces event C, etc. In this theory the human body isn’t a fluid, ever-changing system but a static one, governed by a set of rigid rules where the laws of attraction and repulsion of molecular charges run the show.

In the 1970s Fritz Popp and a team of researchers at the University of Marburg started doing work with biophotons.
Biophotons are considered ultra-weak photo emissions (UPEs).
Popp’s work has transformed our understanding of biophotons and the role they play.

At one point biophotons were considered byproducts of chemical reactions within our DNA.
We now know that the biophotons emitted from our cells are highly coherent energy that may be responsible for the operation of our biological systems.

You may have heard of a concept in nature called bioluminescence whereby an animal like a jellyfish or firefly emits light. Biophotons fall into a similar realm of bioluminescence. However, the light coming from our bodies is very faint – invisible to the naked eye – and can only be measured with powerful scientific instruments.

Research into biophotons raises some interesting possibilities.
Russian scientist Sergey Mayburov observed a batch of eggs from fish and frogs. He found that biophotons communicate in short, synchronized, quasi-periodic bursts. Previous experiments showed that fish eggs stored in different locations were able to sync their development through the use of biophotons. This idea of non-local communication between systems suggests that the light emitted from our cells may carry information which transcends current mainstream thought about how our biological systems work.

Mayburov likens this form of communication to the way error-correcting software sends binary data over a noisy incoherent channel. The goal in Mayburov’s example is to restore the system to coherent working order and that’s important when you consider the potential for biophotons in the human body. Since all frequency carries information, it makes sense that the coherent energy from this light could organize and influence matter into a more healthy balance.

Remember, coherence refers to a highly-structured and organized frequency.
Think of a drum circle where all the players are working in the same rhythm and beat. This music is synchronized, organized and easy on the ears. That’s coherence.
Now, picture a few of those drummers playing at a different speed or putting an emphasis on the wrong note. This music is jumbled and much harder to understand or enjoy. That’s incoherence.

Another Russian scientist named Peter Gariaev placed DNA inside a quartz container and zapped it with a laser (a very coherent form of light). The DNA absorbed the light and stored it for up to thirty days inside a corkscrew shaped spiral in an exact blueprint of light reflecting the DNA pattern.
Even more interesting is that the spiral of light stayed in the same place even after the quartz container and the DNA had been removed

Gariaev’s work suggests some unknown force is holding the light in place.
One possible explanation is that the DNA is responding to an external energy field. This energy field is exchanging information with your cells in the form of light. In essence, our bodies are working as a giant antenna that is constantly sending and receiving signals from the field.

This research even suggests that all living biological systems, including us, have the exact blueprint of our physical bodies stored in a field of light.
We don’t have to look too hard to find similar examples of this phenomenon elsewhere in nature. Experiments done years earlier with plants showed that when part of leaf was cut off, a field of light – like the one from Gariaev’s tests – still remained around the perimeter of the leaf for an extended period of time.

The work into biophotons challenges our current understanding of cellular processes.
In the traditional Newtonian model, the chemical reactions in our cells are essentially runners in a relay race handing off pieces of information at a specific time and place just like runners pass a baton to one another. If the research into biophotons proves correct then our cells behave much more like a symphony.

Picture a conductor using his hands and wand to send cues about whether or not to be louder or quieter, faster or slower. The musicians respond with small adjustments that keep the piece flowing smoothly which cues the conductor which cues the musicians and so on. Viewed in this way, our cells have more of a symbiotic relationship to each other and with the world around them.

Biophoton Manipulation: Scientific Explanation of Energy Manipulation

According to Popp’s research, the symphony of cells in our bodies send and receive messages faster than the speed of light, which further challenges the old Newtonian model of how our bodies operate.   The pace of this interaction means it’s a quantum phenomenon and needs to be evaluated differently. Indeed, the relatively new field of information biology is built on the belief that cells are guided by some external field of information and are not exclusively regulated by molecular charges.

Now, whether or not the biophotons in our cells are responding to an energy field or something else entirely is still being investigated. However, it does appear that we have the ability to influence the light coming from our bodies.

In a recent study, eight volunteers were placed in a darkened room and asked to visualize a bright light. The participants were monitored with light detectors that picked up an aura of light particles coming from the right side of their brains.   In a sense they were enhancing light.

What does this mean?
We know that our cells emit light and that this light is constantly sending and receiving information. We also know that we have at least some ability to affect this light. If this is true then we have access to the control center of our minds and bodies. And if we have access and influence then we have the ability to change ourselves at the most fundamental level by enhancing our light.

In our Advanced Workshops that are conducted around the world, we have actually measured significant positive changes in this invisible field of light with our participants and it seems to directly correlate with changes in their health.

Harnessing Your Energy

Brenda Clarke

Technology has made it easier to communicate with each other.
Not too long ago the fastest way to reach someone – outside of a face-to-face conversation – was via letter or telegraph. Responses could take days or even weeks and by then the information may have no longer been relevant. The advent of cell phones, social media, and email has provided us near instantaneous communication whenever or wherever we want – most of the time.

If you grew up in the pre-digital era you’re familiar with rabbit ears on television sets.
The signal at times provided an erratic, imperfect picture interrupted by periodic bursts of abrasive white noise that sounded like plastic bags being crumpled. This same din could also be heard on the radio.

When you hear static on the broadcast it means you’re not tuned into the right frequency.
The only way to get rid of it was by either adjusting the antenna or turning the dial.

Of course, we still live in a world of static.
Think about the last time you hit a “dead” zone and your cell phone signal started to break up.
Better technology hasn’t completely eliminated interference and in some ways may have made it worse.

Think about all the time you spend on your cell phone either talking or texting.
What about all those work emails or Facebook posts?

You’re very likely spending a lot of time and energy communicating with others and not a lot of time with yourself.

In a strange twist, we’re more in tune with our coworkers, friends or family than we are with ourselves. Put another way – we’re incoherent.
Coherence is a scientific principle that explains the relative clarity of a signal.
Going back to the example from earlier, coherence is a clear image on a TV or good reception on the radio.

But that’s just the end product, what we see.
Coherent signals are typically highly organized, balanced and rhythmic.
This energy or information is the raw materials that allow for creation.
Incoherence is the opposite; it’s the distorted, scrambled noise you hear when you’re driving and move out of range.

Our brain and body are constantly sending and receiving signals.
Biophotons emitted from our DNA may be responsible for the operation of our biological systems. Biophotons are a highly coherent form of energy that allow for communication between cells and an external energy field.

The mechanistic model of the universe relies on molecular reactions to explain how our bodies work.
In this framework we are little more than a series of chain reactions.

Biophotons offer a different way of understanding.
Biophotonic emissions are much more fluid in nature and respond to information being received.
This information is communicated between cells which then make adjustments.

Jazz musicians are famous for improvisation which is similar to how biophotons work.
The musicians start with a basic sound then play off each other to create a new piece.
This is only possible because each musician is listening and making informed choices about how to respond. The end result is a seemingly polished piece of music.

Now, all energy has a frequency and all frequency carries information.
According to my interpretation of the Quantum Model of Reality, all disease can be seen as a lowering of frequency and an incoherent vibration of matter.
Or, put another way, all disease is a result of incoherence.

It all comes back to communication.
The more incoherent the signal the less light and information is exchanged between cells.

The resulting change in energy yields a corresponding change in frequency.
This frequency range is more matter and less energy.
Because there is less energy the cells cannot properly execute their biological functions, and that leads to disease or illness.

What does an incoherent message look like?
The easiest way to conceptualize the idea is to think of a thought, feeling or emotion that carries personal weight. This thought, feeling or emotion has an energy that directly impacts how you think and how you feel.

For instance, when you recall that memory of when you got married it does something to you.
Maybe you feel calm or happy or maybe the memory evokes anger because it gets you thinking about your ex-husband/wife.
Your response sends a signal from your brain to your body which responds in a specific way which provokes a response from your brain.

If the signal you’re sending is incoherent, the only way to get out of the loop outlined above is by raising your energy. You need a stronger signal to override the noise and drown out the past. Much like a car driving out of range, you need to get closer to the source if you want clarity and understanding.

We’ve taught how to change their coherence by using meditation to access the brain’s inner control panel.
Our tests have shown that it’s possible to create heightened amplitudes of coherent energy that, in many cases, has produced measurable differences in overall health.

We have also instructed students how to activate and maintain states of heart coherence by cultivating elevated emotions though their heart.
When the brain (thoughts) and the body (feelings) are both aligned to the same level of synchrony, the side effect is a significant and quantifiable increase in biophotonic emissions surrounding the body – which we have measured. This idea sounds complex, however, once you tune your brain and body into the right energy and information, you’ll find it’s easier than you expected.

Awakening the Courageous Heart

The First Three
Energy Centers:
Our Animal Nature

Human Beings come into life with some automatic programs built into our biology that allow us to function in similar ways. As males of the human species, with thousands of years living as mammals, we’ve had to adapt to our external environment with certain drives and behaviors. We’ve also been conditioned and programmed by society to behave “accordingly” – to a certain set of social standards that are deemed acceptable.

What that means is, our culture has taught men to act primarily from their first three energy centers – focusing on the powerful drives to reproduce; to create a family; to provide stability and security; to accomplish; to compete for success.

We, as human beings, are part animal and part divine. Starting from the lower part of the body, the first three energy centers are related to our animal self.

When energy moves into each of these centers, they become activated.

When the first center is activated, the energy in that “mini-brain” creates a mind that signals its glands and hormones with a very specific directive – or intention – to create another life; to reproduce; to propagate the species.

The second energy center has a lot to do with our biological metabolism. When we feel safe and secure, we use this center’s resources primarily for consuming, digesting, assimilating, excreting, and breaking food down into energy. Our second center is related to the metabolic long-term building projects that keep the body in balance and in health.

When conditions feel unsafe or unpredictable, we have to act – or react.
That’s where our third energy center comes in. This center is a resource for enormous amounts of energy – to empower; to overcome; or to use our will do some “thing” to restore safety and comfort in our environment.

For those who’ve been programmed in this kind of culture, “success” usually means achievement (sometimes dominance) in these three centers – and only these three centers.
  1. A healthy, thriving family;
  2. a safe, secure homestead;
  3. a strong financial foundation;
  4. sacrificing and working hard so there are enough resources – and everyone’s needs are provided for.

When these goals are achieved, and these needs are met, you could say these centers are in balance.

A Moment of Reckoning

Many of us are unaware, in such moments of balance – the moment of triumph and success, according to these standards – of a decision we face. A choice we have to make.

  • Do we allow that energy to continue to ascend into our heart – the fourth energy center?
  • Or do we unconsciously go back and pass on the success that’s been recorded in our genes; in the sperm; once again seeking out the opposite sex for greater chances of survival?
  • Do we automatically start the cycle all over again, remaining in our animal nature – and never accessing our higher, divine self?

Here's the thing:
very few take the path to move that energy up into their hearts.
To do that requires transforming the power of our passion, our security, and our success – into love. Into joy. Into kindness and caring. Into compassion and gratitude.
And that requires vulnerability.

To do all of that, in this culture, means overcoming the messaging from our outside environment – and going against thousands of years of built-in programming.

That’s why I say the greatest courage is to open your heart.
Because doing so offers another way to look at how to live their lives – to evolve their experience of what it means to be a human being.

It takes tremendous courage to take a chance on ourselves in this way.
To harness all the energy we cycle around those first three energy centers, again and again – and move it up. To turn it inward, activate our hearts, and give ourselves permission to feel.
To live from a new level of consciousness.

There’s nothing wrong with our first three energy centers, by the way.
But when we live only in those centers, we tap the body’s vital resources by living only in survival. As a result, there’s very little energy left for our hearts to open.

But if we transform that energy, tune in, and awaken our hearts, a whole new life becomes possible.

Dr Joe Dispenza

The Energy Centers

Each energy center has its own unique energy (or frequency) that carries a corresponding level of consciousness; its own mind or intent that expresses specific information; its own associated glands, hormones, chemistry, and plexus of neurons.
Since different hormones change our chemistry, they cause us to feel different emotions.

And, when it comes to doubt, we’re primarily working with the emotions of survival – the emotions associated with the first three energy centers – and transmuting them by opening our heart to feel the emotions of creation.

Let’s explore that a little more.

The First Three Energy Centers: The Human Self

It’s important to remember, when we talk about alchemizing the power within each of these centers, there’s nothing wrong with them. In fact, we need every energy center; they’re all essential to our human experience.

And those centers are important. But when we’re experiencing doubt or lose our belief, it means they’re out of balance. We’re seeing challenging circumstances in our life, or the condition we’re facing, from the emotions of survival – and are therefore operating from a lower, or more limited, level of consciousness.

When that happens, instead of supporting us in their primary functions – to procreate (the first center); to nourish and provide; to feel safe and secure (the second center); to strengthen, to do, and to willfully empower (the third center) – these centers feed and fuel the feelings we most associate with doubt.

  1. When the first center is out of balance, we might have addictions, obsessions, and compulsions centered on our sexuality.
  2. When the second center is reactive, we might be flooded with insecurity, worry, fear, shame, and guilt – or feelings of lack, need, victimization, or unworthiness.
  3. When the third center is imbalanced, the feelings that come up would be anger, frustration, hatred, judgment, entitlement, envy, jealously, control, impatience, unhealthy competition, or self-aggrandizement.

These survival emotions are so hard-wired into our nature, they’re automatic. They’re so familiar; so innately programmed; we can become addicted to them. When that happens, we move into the shadow side of survival – and our heart closes down. That’s because when we’re in survival, it’s not a time to open our hearts or create. It’s not a time to trust or be vulnerable.

So, when we talk about transmuting the energy in those first three centers to work through doubt, we’re not judging the centers themselves as “lesser than” – or “bad.”
We’re simply talking about bringing them back into balance.

We’re working on ascending their tremendous power and energy to our heart – the center of creativity – and then working with that transformed energy to explore new possibilities in the unknown. And that’s what happens when each center is aligned – that energy can naturally move more easily into the heart.

As I’ve said before, we can think of those first three centers as the human self.
The divine self begins in the heart.
And so, if we’re able to move that energy into a more expansive level of consciousness (remember, recognizing our level of consciousness is the first step in working with doubt), we can move into a state of being where new doors open up to us. We stop trying to force and control; we stop resisting; we stop working within the realm of known, limited, predictable outcomes.

It's a way to get “unstuck” – to evolve from a state of survival, where that energy is trapped in those first three centers, to a place of creation.

Balancing these centers for our greatest good was my inspiration for creating the Blessing of the Energy Centers meditations.

Let's talk about how we can apply that practice to access and work with the unique, essential information contained in each one – to create resonant order within.
I want to talk about what’s possible when all of our energy centers work together to create resonant coherence within our brains and bodies.

Blessing the Energy Centers Into Balance

I first conceived of blessing the energy centers when I was working on bringing my own body into balance and homeostasis. I knew that every energy center is under the control of the autonomic nervous system; that each carries its own energetic signature, its own frequency, its own message, and its own intent. Each center contains its own unique energy and possesses an individual level of mind.

Essentially, each center is like a mini-brain.
And to bring them all into balance – and, therefore, bring myself into balance – I knew I would need to find a way to get into my “operating system” to access them. So, the Blessing of the Energy Centers meditations are designed to work with these mini-brains from that place of understanding.

I’ve crafted all the meditations in the series to create coherence in each center, enabling it to receive and transmit more orderly information. This information can then instruct each center – and directly influence more hormonal balance by sending a coherent message to all the cells, tissues, and organs of the body.

In the Blessing of the Energy Centers meditations, we slow our brain waves down from beta ... to alpha ... and even to theta. One by one, we narrow our focus and put our attention and energy on each center. Then, we open our awareness to the space around each one. We bring the intention to balance the center’s energy by organizing the information it receives and transmits to affect our biology. We bring our attention to the energy contained within each center and its unique frequency – which carries information. This attention activates that energy and information in ways that can inform matter.

In other words, the clear information carried on the coherent frequency of each center can be transformed into information – in the form chemistry.

Since the autonomic nervous system’s job is to create balance and homeostasis, as we bless the centers one by one with our attention, they will then work together to bring more order, harmony, health, and balance to our entire being.

I’ve been thinking of it lately like the instruments in an ensemble – each one a part of the whole; building on the other. You could think of the first energy center, maybe, as the low pounding of the timpani drums, sounding the first notes of a composition and setting the tempo and the tone ... vibrating at a frequency of large, slow, long waves of sound.

The second center could be the horns coming in, adding to the harmonic structure and echoing the rhythm of the drums. Those notes vibrate at somewhat shorter waves – and they build on what’s sounding from the first center. The third center might be the wind instruments, adding some movement; vibrating at a higher frequency; signaling notes in the melody that will come in when we get to the fourth center – the heart. Here come the soaring violins; that transcendent moment when everything comes together.

So, as each “instrument” comes in – with its own resonance; its own vibrations; its own energy – they combine to create a beautiful song.

Carrying this metaphor further, you can see that for this practice to work – for the centers to be in balance – they have to be in tune. They have to be in rhythm. In other words, there must be harmony and resonance among them.

And that’s what we’re creating in the Blessing of the Energy Centers meditations.

A Symphony of Resonant Order

I also like this metaphor because it connects to what I said: there’s nothing wrong with, or bad about, any of the energy centers. We need every one of them. But imagine what would happen if just one instrument in the song were out of tune or rhythm with the drums, or the horns, or the wind instruments. Imagine the song without the melody. Imagine it without the evocative sound of the violins as it reaches a crescendo. It just wouldn’t be the same.

Just as a song is composed of all those elements – all the instruments; all the notes; all the rhythms – the “song” of our very being is composed of all the information contained within all of our energy centers. While each is distinct, with its own gifts and information, they build on each other to create coherence and wholeness within us.

In other words, the energy of the first center is actually contained in the second center.
The energy of the third center contains the energy of the first and second centers.
The energy of the fourth center is holding the information and the resonant frequencies of the third, the second, and the first.
And so it goes with the fifth, sixth, seventh ... all the way up to eight.

They all unfold, in a sense, like echoes from source – because we unfold from source. Each center unfolds to a slower frequency, in mathematical harmonics of the previous one, all the way down to density. As above; so below. As within; so without.

In this way, you can’t have the first center without the eighth – because the frequency of each is contained in the one that precedes it. And so, when we bless all of them, we bring all of them back to balance – because the energy within each one will influence the one above it. We bring them back to oneness. We bring them back to order. We connect to the energy and information inherent within each one. We align with their divine unfolding design.

When we bless our energy centers with these intentions in mind, and each center opens and offers its gifts to us, our entire being begins to vibrate with the song of coherence. As we learn to work with this energy, that simple song evolves ... into a symphony of resonant order.

From here, unlimited possibilities open up to us. We can go far beyond the challenges of working with doubt, getting unstuck, or solving a problem. We can evolve from surviving ... to creating ... to thriving.
